Accurately assigns diagnostic and procedural codes to records of patients treated in the outpatient and inpatient setting.
Job Requirements
High school diploma required. Successful completion of a course in Medical Terminology required. A minimum of two years previous coding experience required.
Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology required. Accreditation as RHIA, RHIT, CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), CPC (Certified Professional Coder), and / or COC (Certified Outpatient Coder) is required.
A positive team player with good computer, technical, and communication skills is required.
